I finally figured out how to write a review! Nancy and I have vacationed at River Point every summer for the past 15 years, and that fact is our review. Complete relaxation is possible in this gorgeous setting. Steve, Jane, and James have become great friends and we look forward to seeing them again. Our vacation home is incredible. Looking out of the floor to ceiling windows you view only the lake, rocks, and trees. This will ALWAYS be our

This business is fantastic. Our crew of nine was treated with nothing but professionalism, kindness, and respect. And, I'm not sure we deserved it lol! Steve and Jane run a terrific operation that does not miss a beat. And, if you get the pleasure to work with Matt...you will be stoked! GREAT GUY! We will definitely be using River Point for all of our future boundary waters adventures! A solid 5 star review!
We called days ahead to ensure we would be able to get our permit for entry. We showed up before the time we were given until close and no one was available to get us our permit. We were not met with an inviting welcome from several employees.
We had a permit set up to pick up didn't have a lot of time to work with and they weren't there. We had to go to Ely to get our permit. Won't bother you again
Jane made us feel like we were in good hands long before we arrived and through our trip. Bunkhouse was clean with a mini-fridge, microwave, and an oscillating fan, and had a fire ring outside the door available for use. Bathrooms were nice and clean, not far from the bunks. We rented canoes and gear which was all high quality and affordable. AJ transported us safely to our entry point. Best of all, when we returned, Jane had a cold beer and a complementary shower token for us. Would definitely recommend River Point and hope to return in the future!
We had a great week at River Point Resort near Ely, MN and recommend to others who are looking for Boundary Waters type scenery and fishing but with the comfort and convenience their beautiful cabins and other accommodations provide. We wanted a rustic, upnorth wilderness adventure without the physical challenges and River Point provided! Loved the place, the people, and the memories made. Highly recommend!!
Having a great time. We had two young women help us get settled in. The vacation home is very nice and love scenery out the front windows. Lots of sun and relaxation and even fishing.
